Mechanical Methods to Combat Aphids

Green aphids can be removed mechanically by hand every day. You can also wash them off with a strong stream of water. Another option is to crush the aphids and rinse the bushes with running water.

Folk Remedies for Aphids

You can remove aphids with folk remedies:

  • In 1000 ml, dissolve 5 tablespoons of laundry soap in warm water. Spray the bushes once every 2 weeks until autumn. Don’t forget to spray after rain.
  • In 10,000 ml, dissolve 350 grams of ash in water, boil for a couple of hours, let it cool, and then treat the bushes with the filtered solution.
  • Dissolve tobacco dust in 1000 ml of water, boil for 30 minutes, cool, strain, and add a tablespoon of soap. Spray the roses every 2 weeks.
  • Boil 200 grams of onion peel in a bucket of water. Leave to infuse for five days. Strain and spray the bushes before use.
  • Grind 20 cloves of garlic and dissolve in a bucket of water. Mix and infuse for 24 hours. This solution will protect against aphids, mites, and weevils.
