To ensure you have plenty of strawberries for eating and preserving, it’s essential to feed your plants with specialized fertilizers. Without proper nutrition, you’re unlikely to achieve a large harvest of sweet berries, so be sure to apply fertilizers around your bushes.

Option 1: Chicken Manure Fertilizer

Dissolve 1000 ml of chicken droppings in a bucket of water. After a week, dilute the concentrate with water at a ratio of 1:20. Apply this fertilizer directly under the roots. If you prefer, you can substitute chicken droppings with urea—just use one tablespoon per bucket of water.

Option 2: Nettle and Ash Solution

Cut nettles and fill a bucket 2/3 full before adding water. Let it steep for ten days. A couple of days before you water, pour a third of a bucket of wood ash with boiling water separately. Prepare your final mixture by combining 9 liters of water, 500 ml of the ash solution, and the same amount of the nettle solution.

Option 3: Borofoska and Potassium Fertilizer

In a bucket of water, dissolve one teaspoon of borofoska, one teaspoon of potassium monophosphate, and one tablespoon of urea.

Using these fertilizers will significantly enhance your strawberry plants and help you achieve a bountiful harvest this summer!
