When you notice that the leaves of your ficus are starting to dry out, it’s crucial to provide the plant with proper nourishment using a monopotassium phosphate solution. This becomes especially important if the ficus has been growing in a small pot where moisture might have been insufficient.

To make the solution, dissolve 1 gram of monopotassium phosphate in 1 liter of water. Water the ficus with this mixture twice, with a one-week interval between applications.

Following this feeding, your ficus should begin to produce new, healthy leaves. Any damaged older leaves can be pruned away in February, during the active growth period.

If you don’t see improvement, continue using the monopotassium phosphate solution once a month and consider transplanting the ficus regularly to ensure its continued health.
