The Vermicompost

Orchids can receive a variety of nutrients from earthworm compost. Because it contains all the macro, medium and micronutrients necessary for the growth and development of orchids. Pour 750ml of warm water into the cup. We only need to use 2-3 spoons of earthworm compost and that’s enough. Then stir well until the fertilizer dissolves. We will compost this for 1 hour, After 1 hour, the nutrients have been dissolved into the water. We filter to remove residue. Put 3 liters of water in the pot. You can add 1 spoon of yogurt to increase the effectiveness of stimulating spikes. Now, I will show you 3 ways to care for orchids with vermicompost:

Method 1: Clean the top and bottom surfaces of the leaves Clean the top and bottom of the leaves with this water. Helps kill fungi, insects, and harmful bacteria very effectively. If you apply this method 1-2 times a month, the leaves will always be green and pest-free.

Method 2: You can also spray this fertilizer on the entire orchid. Like foliar fertilization for orchids. An outstanding use of earthworm compost for orchids is to help flowers last longer, have standard form and increase flower quality. When combined with yogurt, it helps supplement many vitamins and minerals such as vitamin B6, vitamin B12, folate and vitamin K. When used as fertilizer, it helps orchid leaves stay green and strong.

Note: Do not spray on spikes and flowers because wet flowers can easily fall off.

Method 3: Water vermicompost at the base of the orchid. This type of fertilizer also provides beneficial microorganisms for the orchid’s root system. Because its ingredients contain nitrogen-fixing, phosphate-degrading, and cellulose microorganisms that help transform indigestible compounds into digestible compounds, creating conditions for plants to easily absorb. Vermicompost contains humic acid, hulvic acid and IAA hormones that stimulate shoot and root formation. One of the advantages of vermicompost is its stable pH. Thanks to that, applying this type of fertilizer can help regulate soil pH, helping the soil balance its pH. Therefore, plant roots can operate in a neutral environment. Nutrients are also absorbed more easily. The plant is prepared with all the necessary nutrients to create many spikes when the weather is favorable. The result after 1 month the roots grew very strongly. This helps the plant roots absorb the most nutrients through the roots. Flower buds also develop faster. Many flower stems grow on the same orchid. Flowers bloom with more vibrant colors and bloom for a long time. Hope the video will help you a lot.
