In summer, tomatoes require special care to protect them from diseases and pests. Additionally, it’s crucial to provide the plants with sufficient nutrition to ensure the formation of strong fruits and the strengthening of the bushes.
Use of Urea
In June, you can enhance nutrient intake for the plants, promoting the growth of vegetative mass and the creation of strong buds, which ultimately leads to delicious fruits. One effective method is to spray tomatoes with a urea solution: dissolve 50-60 g of urea in 10 liters of water.
After Fruit Formation
At this stage, focus on phosphorus-potassium fertilizers. You can prepare a solution by adding 10 g of superphosphate and 7-10 g of potassium sulfate per 10 liters of water.
An Important Trace Element: Copper
Copper deficiency often leads to plant diseases. Copper sulfate serves as an effective remedy when the leaves start to curl. However, be cautious, as high concentrations of copper sulfate can harm the vegetative mass. It is recommended to use a solution with a concentration of 0.1-0.2%: 1-2 g per 1 liter of water.
By providing proper nutrition and protection for tomatoes in June, you can help shield the plants from diseases and pests, while also boosting yields.
