Providing high-quality feeding during the flowering phase is essential for ensuring a bountiful harvest of strawberries! This technique not only delivers necessary nutrients but also helps protect the plants from pests.
Feeding Solution Preparation
- Potassium Permanganate: Dilute 5 grams of potassium permanganate in 0.5 liters of water. Then, top up with 10 liters of water, ensuring the solution is a light pink color—not dark! The remaining potassium permanganate can be used for other plants throughout the season.
- Gradually add the potassium permanganate solution and mix, keeping an eye on the color.
- Boric Acid: Dissolve 0.5 teaspoon of boric acid in a small amount of hot water (about 50 ml) to enhance its dissolution.
- Iodine: This is another crucial supplement for strawberry nutrition. Add 10 drops of iodine to the 10 liters of water.
- Mix everything thoroughly, then spray the strawberries with the prepared nutrient solution.
Additional Tips
The following day, it’s recommended to spray the strawberry flowers with a solution of 1 liter of water mixed with 1 teaspoon of honey. This will attract more bees, enhancing pollination and ensuring more fruit!
By following these steps, you can effectively nourish your strawberries during flowering and enjoy an abundant harvest!
