To double your cucumber harvest, you must use this ingredient – never plant them without it. Here are all the details.

The Essential Ingredient

Before choosing seeds for sowing, it’s important to select the right type of cucumber. There are self-pollinated hybrids, parthenocarpic cucumbers, and bee-pollinated varieties, which produce more fruit when planted in the ground rather than in a greenhouse. However, never plant cucumbers without this ingredient: powdered glucose.

Preparation and Planting

  1. Warm Soil and Temperature: Wait until daytime temperatures exceed 20°C and nighttime temperatures exceed 15°C. Ensure the soil is warm, at least 18°C.
  2. Germinate the Seeds:
    • Take a container and place 2-3 layers of toilet paper inside.
    • Moisten the paper with a solution of 0.5 grams of powdered glucose in 1 liter of water. Glucose activates growth processes and provides energy for germination and development.
    • Add 0.1 grams of Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) to the water to increase immunity and stress resistance.
  3. Sprouting:
    • Wet the toilet paper with the glucose and Vitamin C solution.
    • Spread the seeds on the paper and cover with a lid or bag to create a greenhouse effect.
    • Place in a warm spot and wait for 4 days.
  4. Transition to Soil:
    • Once sprouts appear, wait until they reach about 5 centimeters in length.
    • Transfer each sprout into individual glasses with soil, ensuring the roots are not damaged.
  5. Final Planting:
    • Prepare the garden soil by digging a 20-centimeter hole and adding a spoonful of wood ash, rich in potassium, phosphorus, calcium, and iron. Mix it with the soil and add more organic matter.
    • Plant the cucumber sprouts, covering them with soil.
    • Continue using natural fertilizers to promote growth.

Results

By following these steps and using powdered glucose, you’ll be amazed at how many cucumbers will grow. This simple addition can significantly boost your harvest, ensuring a bountiful crop all season long.
