In spring, the anticipation of a bountiful strawberry harvest is a joy for gardeners. Achieving abundant yields for both fresh consumption and preserving requires proper care and timely fertilization of the bushes.
An Effective Feeding Method
Prepare a nutrient solution using:
- 1/3 bucket of warm water
- 1 teaspoon of boric acid
- 1 teaspoon of potassium permanganate
- A few drops of iodine
- 2 tablespoons of ammonia
Preparation and Application:
- Stir all ingredients until completely dissolved.
- Dilute the concentrate in one bucket of water.
- Add a few drops of iodine, mix thoroughly, and then incorporate the ammonia.
- Stir well and apply 300-400 ml of the solution around each strawberry bush.
Before fertilizing, ensure to remove old dry leaves, diseased shoots, and perform any necessary pruning in the bed. This feeding method supports strawberry health and primes the plants for robust growth and fruitful harvests in the seasons ahead.
