Even if your orchid is left with only leaves and roots, it’s still possible to propagate it and bring it back to life. This process may take a couple of months, but with patience, you can watch your orchid grow into a healthy new plant.

How to Propagate Your Orchid:

  1. Remove the Old Substrate – Gently remove any old potting mix and damaged roots.
  2. Clean the Plant – Wash the orchid carefully and place it in a dry, cool place for three days to help it rest.
  3. Prepare the Solution – Use a blender to grind 10 grams of tuber, a clove of garlic, and 500 ml of water. Once blended, strain the solution to remove any solid particles.
  4. Soak the Roots – Immerse the orchid’s roots in the solution for about an hour to help rejuvenate them.
  5. Prepare the Container – Take a 5-liter plastic bottle, and create drainage holes in the bottom. Cut off the top part slightly, so it can be used as a cap for the bottle.
  6. Place the Roots in the Bottle – Put moss on the bottom of the bottle, ensuring it’s moist. Then, carefully arrange the orchid roots inside.
  7. Cover and Mist – Cover the bottle with its top and spray the roots with water every three days to keep the environment humid.
  8. Wait for New Growth – After a couple of months, you’ll notice young leaves and new roots starting to grow.
  9. Transplant – Once your orchid becomes strong enough, transplant it into a permanent pot for continued growth.

Try this method and you’ll be amazed at the results! By following these steps, you can successfully propagate your orchid and enjoy a healthy, flourishing plant once again.
