These 5 tips will help your roses bloom beautifully, keeping your flower beds full of fragrance and charm all summer. Roses may stop blooming if they lack the proper nutrients.

What to Do with Your Flowers:

  1. Watering
It’s essential to water your roses regularly. Without enough moisture, the flowers will wither. Water your roses once every 14 days, or once every 7 days during hot weather.
  2. Removal of Buds
After the roses have bloomed, remove the spent buds. Inspect your bushes every 4 days and trim the inflorescences with scissors. This will allow the bush to focus its energy on producing new blooms.
  3. Feeding
The best fertilizer for roses is bone meal, which provides all the essential nutrients. Apply 100 grams of the powder to each bush once a month. Ash is also beneficial and should be added to the soil once during the summer. For enhanced blooming, feed the bushes with chicken droppings. Soak the droppings in water and water the bushes with the solution every other day.
  4. Pruning Bushes
For bushy roses, remove side shoots that are 6 cm long by the second year. However, tea roses and any roses under one year old should not be pruned.
  5. Tillage in Autumn
To encourage better blooming next year, provide top dressing in the autumn. Apply a bucket of 4-year-old manure per 1 m² of soil. Alternatively, you can use a bucket of onion peel. Afterward, dig up the soil. If you notice many earthworms in the spring, it indicates that your soil is fertile.

By following these tips, your roses will thrive and continue to bloom throughout the entire summer.
