How to Protect Cucumbers?
- Stop watering for 5 days.
- Remove the leaves that are already affected by the disease from the shoots.
- If the temperature is low, cover the cucumbers with agrofibre at night.
- Place warm water bottles between the beds to prevent cucumbers from freezing overnight.
- Fight the disease using fungicides, folk remedies, or bio-preparations.
Folk Remedies:
- Dissolve 40 grams of soda and 15 ml of warm water in 5000 ml. Pour the solution around the soil and spray the whips themselves. Repeat the treatment once a week, up to 4 times during the summer.
- In 1000 ml of warm milk, dissolve 35 grams of grated household soap and add 40 drops of iodine. Spray every 10 days until the end of the season.
- In 10 liters of warm water, dissolve 1000 grams of ash. After a week, add 30 ml of soap to the filtered solution and spray as needed.
- Dissolve a couple of tablespoons of mustard powder in a bucket of warm water. After cooling, spray the bushes.
- In 2000 ml of water, dissolve 50 grams of squeezed garlic. After 24 hours, spray the cucumbers with the filtered solution.
- Boil 500 grams of husk in a bucket of water for 5 minutes. After 5 days, spray with the filtered solution once a week.
