In addition to peppers and tomatoes, you can successfully grow cabbage seedlings on your windowsills. To achieve a high-quality harvest, it’s essential to feed the plants properly in two key stages. Experienced gardeners recommend the following fertilizer application scheme.

First Feeding

The first feeding is a crucial moment in growing cabbage seedlings. Use complex mineral fertilizers, such as an aqueous solution of nitrofoska or products like Krepysh, Agricola, and Fertika Universal-2. Apply these fertilizers after the seedlings have developed their first three full-fledged leaves.

Second Feeding

The second feeding should be conducted before transplanting the cabbage into the soil, ideally no later than a week before planting. For this, prepare a solution by dissolving 1 teaspoon of urea and the same amount of potassium sulfate in 5 liters of water. Following this stage is vital for ensuring a bountiful crop of cabbage.
