Autumn is the ideal time to treat trees for pests. However, the treatment will only be effective if the right products are used. Here’s how to properly care for your trees and protect them from harmful pests.
Urea
To treat trees with urea, dissolve 500 grams of urea in a bucket of warm water. Once dissolved, spray the solution onto the trees. This helps eliminate pests and prepare the trees for the colder months.
Copper Sulfate
Copper sulfate is a powerful remedy that protects trees from powdery mildew, moniliosis, scab, and other forms of rot. For young trees, use a 3000 ml solution. For older trees (5 years and older), use 10,000 ml of solution. Always choose warm, windless weather for the treatment to ensure maximum effectiveness.
Iron Sulfate
Iron sulfate is effective against moss, lichen, and scab, and it helps saturate trees with essential nutrients. This treatment is suitable for peach, cherry, apple, and plum trees. Dissolve 1000 grams of iron sulfate in a bucket of water and spray it on the tree’s trunk and crown.
By applying these treatments in October, you can protect your trees from pests and ensure a healthy growing season ahead.
